A recent news article published on the internet outlines a movement by government to fund microfilm scanning conversion of library records. The microfilm scanning will be necessary to digitize all records that currently exist on film only. Florida Microfilm Scanning Services

Many states, including Generation Imaging‘s homebase in Florida, have libraries, cities, municipalities, and governments that need to digitize microfilm records.  Those Florida cities that have not, will most likely do so, some time in the future.

The users, clients, and the Florida governments may have great benefits from the microfilm conversion performed by Generation Imaging. The technology today can allow cities to convert paper documents straight to digital. Most documents are initiated on paper prior to them reaching the Florida government office. Florida may be able to change from receiving paper documents to digital images.
